A working hive in Tampa Bay, photographed close enough to watch the traffic. Honeybees move across the tops of the frames, wax built up in ridges along the wood, the whole thing lit like old pine.
Shot at a shallow depth of field so the near frame stays sharp and everything behind it falls away into amber.
